It is part of the LEGO Group’s 90 years of play celebration. Other ways to celebrate are with gifts with purchase, like with the LEGO Forest Hideout, and fun and fast 90-second challenge builds.

For this event, you can build a LEGO Red Brick and then take it home with you for free! This promotion only takes place in your local LEGO store on August 10 and August 11, 2022. There are only a limited number of quantities available each day so make sure to arrive at the store early.

The sets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Each person will receive only one set. Also, the sets are not available for purchase. You will be given instructions on how to complete the build once you arrive to the store. If you want to check out the instructions beforehand or to build at home, Brickset has them posted. The set has 66 pieces.

This promotion runs during the middle of the week on a Wednesday and Thursday, so it might be hard for most people to attend during the work week. But if you are able to, it would be fun to take a break and head down to your LEGO store to create this free build!

However, this promotion does not start until August 1st so maybe that’s why there was no advertising yet.

But, did you also notice something special written on the Birthday Cake? This video from the LEGO Group’s Twitter account shows a wand lighting up the darkness. It moves quickly to reveal a very special Birthday Cake that fans of the Harry Potter series should instantly recognize. Take a look at the post below and see if you can spot it!

Don’t worry if you didn’t on your first try! At about 3 seconds into the video, the wand lights up the cake and you can make out the writing in the frosting. It says “Happee Birthdae Harry.” If you’re not familiar with the reference, keep reading and we will explain!

In the book, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, on July 31, 1991, Rubeus Hagrid presented Harry Potter with this birthday cake in honor of his eleventh birthday. It was a sizable, gooey chocolate cake with green icing writing that read, “Happy Birthday Harry.” There was some left over when Hagrid stated he wouldn’t say no to a small portion of it in the early morning.

However, in the movie version of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the cake spells out “Happee Birthdae Harry” and has pink frosting rather than chocolate frosting. Although, it contains green icing like in the novel. Even though it deviates from the canon of the novel, the cake as it was depicted in the movie has been a fairly frequent occurrence in goods and licensed books and games.

The LEGO Review Board has just assessed 36 outstanding product concepts that amassed 10,000 supporters between early September 2021 and early January 2022. All of the10K members deserve congratulations for achieving the crucial threshold and becoming eligible for evaluation. Currently there are 5 fan works in production that will be released in the future.

Congratulations to Amber Veyt (TheAmbrinator) who is the first Belgian fan designer! She was able to realize her ambition and demonstrate that persistence can pay off after her initial application in 2020 was rejected. Amber’s design captures all the minute features and characters that particularly impressed the review board. It also reflects her intense affection for the beloved Hocus Pocus film. With recognizable characters and an iconic setting, this set is sure to be a hit for families who love to watch Halloween movies together. LEGO Hocus Pocus The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage

Take a look at Winifred, Sarah, and Mary Sanderson’s updated Salem witches’ cottage from the 1993 Disney movie Hocus Pocus. This LEGO Hocus Pocus – The Sanderson Sister’s Cottage set is a tough building kit and a fantastic brick-built model to exhibit when completed. It is over 17.7 inches high, 16.14 inches wide, and 18.1 inches deep. There are a total 2992 elements in the set. To retell the tale and replicate all the wonderful occurrences that took place at the Sanderson residence, this cottage is crammed with elements from the film.

The offset planks below the roof are a nice touch.

Billy has been lying in his grave for 327 years; make sure to rouse him up!

The cottage opens so that you can check out the highly detailed interior.

Minifigures

Build

The countless wonderful possibilities in this famous home will enchant you. You can customize the cottage to resemble both the Sanderson Witch Museum from 1993 and the Sanderson Sisters’ house from 1693. Simply adding the black flame candle info-stand, the museum signs, some rope barriers, and a cash register can transform it into a museum.

On Halloween night, assist Binx with guarding the black flame candle! The spell that changed Thackery Binx into a black cat is in the spellbook.

If Thackery needs assistance entering the cottage you can turn the watermill.

Place Ice and Jay in the cages and spin them around until they pass out. There is a triple bed so the Sanderson sisters can get their necessary beauty rest.

Each Sanderson sister has a unique flying device. Sarah has a mop, Winifred a broom, and Mary a vacuum.

Hocus Pocus is one of the most well-known and beloved Halloween movies of all time! Also, the release of the sequel to the movie is just around the corner. A great idea is to use this LEGO set for seasonal décor. Furthermore, it would be ideal for those who enjoy Halloween or scary movies!

Between the beginning of January 2022 and the beginning of May 2022, 10,000 supporters were acquired by 39 projects, earning them a position in the evaluation. This set is the first in a new line of LEGO Avatar products that celebrates the whole franchise to date.
