LEGO Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Brick-Changer Float to Return
The LEGO Group’s “The Brick-Changer” float is returning to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2021. Since 2019, this three-story tall float is definitely the delight of LEGO fans during the Parade. Sitting atop the float is the “Brick-changer.” This magical creature, created from the mind of a child, is part turkey, part dragon. She uses her creativity to change the surrounding landscape from dull monochrome to vibrant color. Her tail also functions as a crane, which helps LEGO bricks and children’s imaginations reach new heights.
This float serves as a reminder to families of how the LEGO Group is able to inspire children to Rebuild the World using their creativity and imagination. Whether through their Learning through Play website, their new Holiday campaign, or Build to Give program, the LEGO Group continues to inspire play and promote important life skills for generations of children.
Take a look at this amazing float below!
The Free Build Team will join the Brick-changer creature on the float. They help to rebuild the gray and white landscape and fill it with color. If this float were really a LEGO set, it would be composed of about 2,000 real LEGO pieces. This year Zoe Wees will be the performer on the float.
What do you think about the LEGO Brick-Changer float? This is the third year in a row that the same float will be used. However, I like the premise of how you can use creativity, imagination, and problem-solving to change a drab world into a more vibrant and colorful one.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is live from New York City from 9am to Noon on Thursday, November 25th. You can watch it on TV on NBC. Will you be watching? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
