LEGO 10297 Boutique Hotel Celebrates 15 Years of Modular Building Sets

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the LEGO modular building collection, the LEGO Group has revealed a new Boutique Hotel. The LEGO Creator Expert 10297 Boutique Hotel is the luxurious new addition to your LEGO city. Coming in at 3,066 pieces and a retro feel, it will look great anywhere on the block.
This new set will be available on January 1, 2022. It is the 17th LEGO set in the modular building collection (if you were counting). Other notable sets in this collection are the LEGO Bookshop, LEGO Assembly Square, and LEGO Police Station. Additionally, the LEGO Corner Garage is going to be retiring soon. Fans of the modular buildings will love all of the Easter Eggs in this new set. Be sure to check out the building instructions for many of them.
It was really exciting to be working on the LEGO Boutique Hotel and to have the opportunity to design this in celebration of 15 years of the collection. When we approach the design for a modular building we are conscious of the previous sets and therefore want to create something that is new, that really compliments the collection. I am really happy with the final design, the variety of intriguing building techniques and all the nods to the previous Modular buildings.

Let’s take a look at all of the amazing details.
Packaging
The front of the packaging shows off a cool logo for 15 years of LEGO Modular Buildings. Notice the triangular geometry, arches, and curves. This boutique hotel gains inspiration from turn-of-the-century European architecture
The back of the packaging reveals that this set comes in five sections. It also shows how it fits well in the corner of a LEGO city block next to the police station and bookstore. Each section contains stunning details.
Minifigures
A total of seven minifig characters come with this set. These are a bellhop, receptionist, coffee vendor, gallery owner, hotel guests, and hotel staff.
Build
This LEGO modular building comes in five different sections. The ground floor features the lobby and an art gallery. Furthermore, the art gallery showcases Cubist art.
Additionally, the terrace has an art gallery reception and palm tree. The name of the art gallery, “El Cubo,” is shown on the sign out front. This palm tree looks simply amazing.
Hotel rooms are found on the first floor. Also, each room has its own style of furniture and requires unique building techniques.
The second floor has the penthouse suite. The unique angles provide for a challenging building experience.
An amazing decorative dome is on the roof. Love the curved windows!
