For the fist time ever, a LEGO Technic model is now a real machine. Take a look at the Volvo LX03. It is a fully autonomous, battery-electric prototype construction vehicle. This real-life vehicle gained inspiration from the LEGO Technic 42081 Volvo Concept Wheel Loader ZEUX.

It all started in 2016, when the LEGO Group and Volvo collaborated on the ZEUX concept. What resulted was this incredible LEGO Technic set. Once only a futuristic concept model, it is now a reality.

…this is the first time we are making a real machine based on a model and not the other way around – and that is what makes this a truly unique project.

The Volvo LX03 prototype is part of Volvo’s commitment to reduce carbon emissions and improve sustainability. As an electric vehicle it has zero emissions, low-noise, and can run up to a maximum of eight hours.

It is the first real-life example of a self-learning wheel loader. It has the ability to interact with humans, make decisions, and perform dangerous or repeated tasks. With this vehicle on site, less humans can be in harm’s way.

The vehicle starts out at weighing 5-tons, but as part of a modular building process, it can be made larger or smaller which just a couple of changes to the production process.

Take a look at this video which further explains the collaboration between Volvo and the LEGO Group.

The Volvo LX03 prototype is not yet available commercially. But, the insights learned here will be used for future projects.

The LEGO Technic McLaren Senna GTR is now available to drive in Asphalt 9: Legends, a racing game on mobile, Nintendo Switch, and PC. In the in-game event, dubbed the LEGO Technic McLaren Grand Prix, players can compete for pole position and win prizes. The event runs from October 18 through October 30, 2021.

This car is a very nice LEGO set, and coincidentally, the LEGO 42123 Technic McLaren Senna GTR is currently on sale at Costco. If you aren’t lucky enough to win one in the game, you can pick one up here!

Check out some awesome screenshots of the game. The car looks really great and also has some nice stats to give you an advantage in the game.

The design team made sure to include the amazing features of the LEGO model in the game. These include the V8 engine with moving pistons, blue paint job, and opening doors. The colors and design look really close to the actual LEGO set.

Costco continues their amazing sale on multiple LEGO sets. They have even expanded their sale inventory on LEGO Star Wars, Technic, Marvel, Friends, and Creator 3-in-1.

First up is LEGO 41693 Friends Surfer Beachfront and LEGO 76192 Marvel Avengers: Endgame Final Battle. Both of these sets retail for $69.99 each. You can get a great deal on these at the sale price of $54.99!

Another Friends set on sale is LEGO 41684 Friends Heartlake City Grand Hotel. Additionally, make sure not to miss LEGO 31120 Creator 3in1 Medieval Castle. Each set has a regular retail price of $99.99, and are on sale for $74.99. It’s rare to see such a high dollar amount off.

This is the first time I have seen LEGO Technic sets on sale at Costco. These include two exciting vehicle sets with LEGO 42123 Technic McLaren Senna GTR and LEGO 42122 Technic Jeep Wrangler. Technic is one of the most popular LEGO themes and provides an extra challenge for experienced builders. You can pick up one of these sets for $10 off the regular retail price on sale for $39.99.

If this sale wasn’t great enough already, we finish up with more LEGO Marvel and Star Wars sets. Even before the film release, you can find LEGO 76155 Marvel The Eternals In Arishem’s Shadow on sale! Furthermore, LEGO 75316 Star Wars Mandalorian Starfighter is also spotted.

You have to turn the corner to see the price tag, but at $48.99 this is a great deal as these sets regularly retail for $10 more at $59.99.

Costco is really a great place to get some early Christmas shopping done if you are looking to buy some LEGO sets.

This week, the LEGO Group released their first half earnings for 2021. This impressive report also mentions the top performing themes during this time period. Revenue and consumer sales grew substantially. For example, consumer sales growth was in double digits for all market groups. It is interesting to take a look at what product lines contributed to that growth.
