Fans of Disney and The Haunted Mansion will love this spooky new LEGO build. New details have been released about the LEGO Mini Haunted Mansion set. This is a small build-and-display model at just over 5 inches high. Let’s take a closer look at the photos with this early sneak peek. The set will be available for sale on August 1, 2022.

LEGO Haunted Mansion

The front of the box shows the components of this build which include The Haunted Mansion and a Butler minifigure. In my opinion, the minifigure resembles the Disney Cast Members who work at this attraction. Furthermore, as you can see the build is far from minifig scale.

The back of the box shows a closer look at the interior of the mansion. Here you can see the dining room, a chandelier and a gallery.

The mini build is constructed well. I wonder if this will be a harbinger of a minifigure scale size mansion in the future! It reminds me of the Disney Castle, however, the minifig scale build came first.

The LEGO Haunted Mansion would make a nice collector’s item for the Disney fans in your life. I’m not aware of a Disney Cast Member becoming a minifig before!

Beware of Hitchhiking Ghosts! There are also paintings of Madame Leota and the Gravekeeper.

Before the official Encanto film release on November 24, 2021, three new LEGO Disney Encanto sets have been revealed on the LEGO Shop online. This film tells the story of the Madrigal family from the mountains of Colombia. They live in a magical, enchanted house called an Encanto. The Encanto’s magic gives all of the Madrigal children powers, except for a child named Mirabel. Mirabel discovers the Encanto’s magic may be in trouble and only she may be able to save it.

The three new sets are listed below:

• 43200 LEGO Disney Encanto Antonio’s Magical Door
• 43201 LEGO Disney Encanto Isabela’s Magical Door
• 43202 LEGO Disney Encanto The Madrigal House

Let’s take a look at these sets in more detail. Hopefully we can also learn some more interesting details about the film before its release!

LEGO Disney Encanto 43200 Antonio’s Magical Door

This set includes two micro-doll figures from the Encanto film, Mirabel and Antonio. Additionally, multiple animals come with this set including a capybara, jaguar, frog, and three butterflies.

Even though this set is in the shape of a storybook, it is supposed to be a “door” which can be unlocked by using the included key.

It appears that Chispi is the name of the Capybara and Parce is the name of the jaguar. Once the door opens, it reveals a raising hammock and jaguar cave.

LEGO Disney Encanto 43201 Isabela’s Magical Door

Another magical opening door set, this one includes three micro-doll figures which are Isabela, Louisa and Mirabel. Additionally, it has a bird and three butterfly figures.

Not many other details are shown about this set on the LEGO shop. This one also has a working lock and key.

It appears this set may be one of the kid’s bedrooms, but it is hard to tell what all of the different elements are. I guess we will have to wait for the movie!

Both of these above sets are in the shape of a storybook. They can be folded up easily for play on the go! Although, both of these sets are referred to as “Magical Doors” and not storybooks.

LEGO Disney Encanto 43202 The Madrigal House

This is the largest of the three sets at 587 pieces. This is a very imaginative and creative three level house where the Madrigal family lives. It comes with two mini-doll figures and one micro-doll figure. More specifically, these are Abuela, Mirabel and Antonio. Furthermore, a capybara and butterfly figures also come with this set.

Other unique features are a spinning weather vane, flipping bed, and waving shutters. Additional accessories are an accordion, gramophone, and umbrella.

This looks like a very fun and colorful build. We can’t wait to see the house come alive in the film!

The film release date is November 24, but these sets will not be available until December 1, 2021. The Magical Doors retail for $19.99 each, while the Madrigal House is priced at $49.99.

Toy Story is one of our favorite movie franchises. Who could forget watching the original? I was lucky enough to see it in theaters! Let’s take a look at our review of LEGO 7590 Woody and Buzz to the Rescue. This set depicts an iconic scene from the first film and features three of the most amazing characters: Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and RC! This was such a fun build and took us back to that intense time in the movie, where Buzz and Woody are trying to catch up to Andy’s moving truck!

Packaging

The box depicts the action scene from Toy Story 1 when Woody lights the rocket strapped to Buzz, and they ride RC to try to catch up to Andy! Notice the motor action at the bottom which shows how RC can really drive! Be sure not to miss our video showing how this works near the end of this review.

Instructions

The instructions depict the same scene as the box. I’m sure you will recognize the white clouds of Andy’s wallpaper! For 92 pieces, the instructions are not that long.

Minifigures

The best part about this build are the incredible minifigs. This set features the older style of minifigure heads. Notice how they more resemble the Pixar characters and are not the standard LEGO size. I prefer this style, versus the standard size ones released in later sets. Although, Woody’s hat is not removable. Buzz’s helmet and flight apparatus are removable. Also notice how Woody’s legs are longer than standard size.

The great detail continues on the back. The wings on Buzz’s suit can come off. I really like how it shows Andy’s pull string on the back of Woody.

Build

The build comes in two parts, with the rocket and RC. The rocket is only 6 pieces, and can be strapped on the back of Buzz. It says the “Big One” on the side. I bet you read that in Sid’s voice, didn’t you?

RC is also an amazing part of this build. His character and appearance are precisely reproduced in LEGO form. You can immediately tell this is just no ordinary car!

The water splash patterns are printed tiles and give RC that iconic look.

There are places for Woody and Buzz to sit, just like in the film! Hang on guys!

They will be blasting off to Andy soon!

Let’s take a look at RC’s pull-back motor action in this YouTube video. As you may notice, RC doesn’t go very far after he is pulled back. I didn’t show this in the video, but if I would pull him back farther and let him go, he would go extremely fast (like too fast out of control). It was hard to find a more controllable medium speed. Also, it was very easy for RC to fall apart if I would try to make him go faster. The playability of this set for that reason is not very good.

Conclusion

This is a great Toy Story set for the old style of minifigures and the RC build. It really brings back a lot of memories watching Toy Story 1! Although RC does have a pull-back motor, you are probably going to want to leave this as a display item as he is very fragile.

Welcome to our review of LEGO 10772 Mickey Mouse’s Propeller Plane! This was my first 4+ set build ever, and was very special because I got to share it with my 3-year-old son. It was also his first ever LEGO set build! The 4+ parts and instructions were easy to follow and we had a lot of fun flying the plane around our LEGO city afterwards. The pilot Mickey minifigure is a great addition to our collection.

Packaging

At only 59 pieces, the box is on the smaller side, but a lot is packed in. The front showcases the three main parts of this build: the airplane, flag pole, and service station. Notice the new “Mickey and Friends” theme logo in the bottom right corner.

Even more play ideas are located on the back of the box. This is a 4+ set which helps kids learn how to build.

Instructions

The instruction booklet is rather thick for a build of this size, but this is because the 4+ builds have simpler instructions. It was easy for my 3-year-old to follow. The airplane is saved for last.

Minifigures

Only 1 minifigure comes with this set, but it is an adorable Mickey Mouse Pilot. The front view showcases his pilot’s jacket, goggles, and pilot wings. The back view shows his pilot’s scarf, which I didn’t notice at first when looking at him from the front. You can set a bit of red above his jacket collar.

Build

With 3 different builds, a lot is packed into this 59 piece set. The green flag and flag pole is pretty basic, but a nice addition to check which way the wind is blowing! The Mickey head service station is a great addition, and adds a lot to the play time.

The airplane is cute, but rather simple. The best part are the Mickey logos on the wings. The airplane only has wheels in the front, which gives it that characteristic angled look, but it would be nice to have a third wheel in the back. It’s a little unimaginative, but it is a small set. I think a biplane might have been a better choice.

The parts look great all together and Mickey can’t wait to jump in a get flying!

Conclusion

Overall, this is a great build for the price point and 4+ target age. The Mickey Mouse Pilot minifigure is super cute and will look amazing with our other LEGO Disney minifigures. The included service station adds a lot to the fun as you can repair and refuel the plane between flights. We are big Disney fans so this set is a wonderful addition to our collection.
