The LEGO Ideas blog has revealed the first 2021 review results. It took the LEGO Review Board over four months to evaluate all of the 57 product ideas submissions to reach over 10,000 supporters between January and May 2021. Once the idea reaches 10K supports it moves along to the review stage.
A new record was set with 57 products reaching 10K, and there is also a record-setting eight fan created LEGO ideas products currently in progress.
Two new sets were announced with one additional set that requires further review. Let’s see which ones made the cut!
LEGO Ideas First 2021 Review Results
First up is Hsinwei Chi and his Jazz Quartet. This set was also a part of the LEGO Group’s “Music to our Ears” contest. The instruments include a grand piano, trumpet, double bass, and jazz drum. There are also four different musicians and a stage. This set is so full of expression and detail, you can almost hear the music by just looking at it!
Truly a fan favorite, next is Jaijai Lewis and his The Office. This set is based on the US version of “The Office” TV show. So many minifigures are included, so it will be interesting to see which ones the LEGO Group will choose to make in the final version. This set has so many fun details, such as one of Angela’s cats in the bottom left corner.
Finally, Harry Finkel and his Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs set made it past the review stage, but requires further review. The exact details are unknown of why this won’t be made into an official LEGO set quite yet. The LEGO Review Board states they will provide an update when the next review results come out in early 2022.
LEGO Ideas Second 2021 Review Results
The second 2021 LEGO Review results will be announced in early 2022. There are a total of 34 projects that reached 10K supporters between May and September 2021.
