Comparing the New ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Trailer to the LEGO Sets

A new Spider-Man: No Way Home movie trailer has been released. We take a look to see what new details we can learn about the upcoming film and how it compares to the Spider-Man: No Way Home LEGO sets that are already available.
First, let’s list the LEGO sets from the film. There are currently three. We will review in more detail after the trailer.
- 76184 LEGO Marvel Spider-Man vs. Mysterio’s Drone Attack
- 76185 LEGO Marvel Spider-Man at the Sanctum Workshop
- 76195 LEGO Marvel Spider-Man’s Drone Duel
Now, lets watch the new official trailer! Keep an eye out for Spider-Man’s suits and any villains that appear.
Next, let’s take a look at each of the LEGO sets inspired by the Spider-Man: No Way Home film.
LEGO Marvel 76184 Spider-Man vs. Mysterio’s Drone Attack
Right off the bat, this set is confusing because the box says it is inspired by the Spider-Man: Far From Home film. If you have seen the film, the set does seem consistent with that. However, this LEGO set is classified in the Spider-Man: No Way Home subtheme. Maybe Mysterio will make an appearance in the new film? Doubtful, but we will have to wait and see. There is no evidence of this in the new trailer. It’s more likely this set doesn’t have anything to do with the new film.
LEGO Marvel 76185 Spider-Man at the Sanctum Workshop
We can tell from the trailer that Peter Parker does visit the Sanctum Sanctorum. Consistent with that, this LEGO set features Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Workshop. The villain in this set is called a “giant bug monster,” but it does remind me a lot of Scorpion. Even though we don’t see Scorpion in the trailer, I think there is a strong chance he will appear in the film. The LEGO minifigures that come with this set are Spider-Man, Mary-Jane (MJ), Wong, and Doctor Strange. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say all of these characters will be in the film.
LEGO Marvel 76195 Spider-Man’s Drone Duel
This is the most interesting set of the three. It says on the box that this LEGO set is inspired by the Spider-Man: Homecoming film. However, we can definitely tell that Spider-Man’s black and gold suit makes an appearance in the trailer and in this LEGO set.
I suspect it makes reference to Homecoming for two reasons: due to the presence of Vulture and the drone. Spider-Man Homecoming did have a Spider-Drone, however, it was autonomous and much smaller. Furthermore, the drone in this set is much larger, Spider-Man is driving it, and it has the black and gold color scheme similar to his armor in the trailer. Another interesting part of this LEGO set is Spider-Man’s gold webs. Given the five villains seen in the new trailer (Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman and The Lizard), it is possible we will see more. Maybe even the Vulture will make an appearance. This is the Multiverse after all!
It is a lot of fun to compare the LEGO set versions to the actual films! We will have to wait and see if any of our predictions come true. For more LEGO set movie comparisons, check out our other posts.
